PS. we are reaching the 60 book mark soon! At 100 books I will begin writing the THIRD installment of Thorngate and get my tail into gear with publishing the second book by Easter 2012.

After a long journey, starting in 2001, I have finally published my first Novel.
In May of 2010 I was seven months pregnant and had reached the final stages of editing - I was using an online editing program and planned to publish my novel directly through the online publishers linked to this program. In late May after working for four months, several hours a day, a trojan virus invaded my computer and destroyed the novel completely.

I had a minor nervous breakdown and I nearly suffered a miscarriage, I had to be tranquilised for a week until I could cope with the fact that ten years of work was gone. Two weeks from publishing.

After much soul searching I found an old copy of the original manuscript and began the arduous task of editing everything again. Only my husband knows the hours of labour that went into the making of this book. Hours of typing, litres of cappuccino and many many repeats of the two CD’s that kept me sane… Once by Glen Hansard and To The Ends Of The Earth by Hillsong United.

A BIG "Thank You" goes out to Belinda Hellerle who inspired me to push on, her incredibly beautiful cover design motivated me towards my goal.

My Husband Francis, who has listened to each chapter as it was written, has encouraged me with his words "When you read it to me, it paints pictures in front of my eyes... I can see all of them... I can see the house, the dresses, the people's faces... beautiful pictures." I have never forgotten those words.
This book has haunted me, filled my thoughts, inspired me to find true love and has taught me that there is no greater bond than that of family.

If you are a true romantic at heart (like me) and if you want to become buried in the past, a past filled with beautiful orchestra's, drama, love, passion, fear, hope and dreams... then this book is for you.

Inspired by classics such as, Jane Eyre, Great Expectations, Pebbles in the Tide and Wuthering Heights this charming story is filled with the slow burning passion of yesteryear.

Be prepared to be inspired.
